Due to the ongoing heatwaves and precarious conditions of birds, stray dogs, and other animals following this, Gurugram-based realty firm Ganga Realty, under its philanthropic wing, Ganga Foundation, organized a one-week tree plantation drive on the occasion of World Environment Day at different parts of Gurugram at Sector 5, 35, 84, and 85. The aim was to spread awareness about the incorporation of sustainable measures and greenery in project construction designs, which was also the theme of its latest podcast with IGBC chairperson.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Neeraj K Mishra, Executive Director, Ganga Realty, affirmed, “Advocating sustainable building programs and promoting green-rich ecosystems is the greater onus of realtors in the view of the climatic vagaries and global heating phenomenon. Henceforth, through our philanthropic and CSR arm, Ganga Foundation, we organized a massive tree plantation drive to encourage real estate barons as well as commoners to plant trees and cultivate greenery.”
Ganga Foundation members planted 5,000 trees and placed more than 100+ water pots to serve water and quench the thirst of small birds and animals. In view of an alarming rise in cases of unconsciousness and dehydration amongst small kids, birds, and animals due to the prevailing heat waves, the foundation also organized a water distribution campaign along with the tree plantation drive. The event also saw the attendance of the top office occupiers of Ganga Realty.
Ganga Realty is one of the leading real estate companies in the Gurugram real estate sector, having an eminent presence in popular homebuying zones such as Dwarka Expressway. Ganga Foundation, under its aegis, organizes multiple welfare initiatives focussed on environmentalism, community effort, and corrective actions aimed at the greater good of the society.
