Chandni Bhabhda’s Dharma Dream Comes True with Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri

For Chandni Bhabhda, the world of cinema once felt like a faraway dream—something admired from a distance while growing up in modest circumstances. Having spent nearly 18 years living in rented homes with her parents and brother, constantly moving cities, Chandni’s early life was shaped by simplicity and resilience. With few friends to rely on, she often found comfort behind the lens of a camera, quietly nurturing her love for storytelling and performance.

Manifesting a Dharma Debut

That quiet dream took a powerful shape when Chandni watched Student of the Year. The iconic Dharma Productions track left a lasting impression on her young mind. She recalls manifesting a future where she would one day be part of that cinematic universe. Years later, that vision became reality with her debut as Jia in Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. “It truly felt like a dream come true,” Chandni shares, reflecting on her journey from humble beginnings to the sets of a big-banner Dharma film.

First Day Nerves and a Legendary Co-Star

While the debut itself was monumental, Chandni says the most memorable part of the experience was sharing screen space with veteran actor Jackie Shroff. Her first day on set was filled with nervous energy—especially during her initial coffee scene with him. “I was literally shivering,” she admits. But the nerves didn’t last long.

The ‘Bhidu’ Effect on Set

Jackie Shroff’s warmth and authenticity quickly put everyone at ease. Chandni fondly recalls how he effortlessly created a welcoming atmosphere, treating everyone—from actors to crew—with equal affection. His signature phrases like “Baith Jaa Chotu” and “Baith Jaa Bhidu” echoed across the set, becoming an endearing part of the shoot’s rhythm. “He would just ‘Bhidu zone’ everyone,” she laughs.

Learning Beyond the Script

Beyond the light-hearted moments, Chandni describes forming a deep intellectual bond with Jackie Shroff. Between shots, the two engaged in meaningful conversations on spirituality, religion, life philosophies, and even global topics. Sharing meals and casual conversations with him made her debut feel less daunting and more like a joyful learning experience.

A Bond to Cherish

Once a young girl who found companionship in her camera, Chandni Bhabhda now looks back at her debut with gratitude and pride. Her unique bond with the industry’s ultimate ‘Bhidu’ transformed what could have been an overwhelming first experience into an unforgettable chapter—one marked by growth, warmth, and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream.
