Bengaluru, 14 October 2026: Forum South Bengaluru presents the fourth edition of Forum South BLR Fest 2026 – The Indian Toy Tale, a festive celebration featuring a 40-foot giant doll, installations inspired by indigenous toy-making traditions, and live music performances by celebrity singers and renowned indie music artists. The Fest will also feature shopper rewards worth up to ₹4 crore, with shoppers standing a chance to win a 1-gram gold coin everyday. The initiative aims to spotlight India’s diverse toy heritage through an immersive mall experience, combining cultural storytelling, entertainment and festive shopping.
The theme draws inspiration from traditional toys that reflect the craftsmanship and cultural identities of different regions. Visitors can explore installations inspired by Channapatna’s lacquered wooden toys from Karnataka, Thanjavur dolls from Tamil Nadu, and Tholpavakoothu puppetry from Kerala. These regional art forms will inform the Fest’s visual identity and on-ground experiences, bringing traditional Indian toys into a contemporary retail setting.
A key attraction of the Fest is the 40-foot giant doll, conceived around the simple yet evocative idea of experiencing a toy that is bigger than oneself. Inspired by the childhood wonder of standing beside a toy larger than life, the installation aims to recreate the feeling of being a child again. As part of The Indian Toy Tale, it brings the nostalgia of traditional Indian toys into a larger-than-life setting, inviting visitors to reconnect with the joy and wonder of their early years.
Commenting on the initiative, Muhammad Ali, CEO, Forum Malls, Prestige Group, said, “With The Indian Toy Tale, we wanted to bring India’s rich toy-making traditions into a contemporary space where people can discover and engage with them in a new way. Traditional toys carry stories of regional craftsmanship, culture and shared experiences across generations. By bringing these forms to life through installations and interactive experiences, we hope to make them relevant and accessible to today’s audiences while creating a distinctive festive destination for families in Bengaluru.”
The Fest will feature celebrated South Indian playback singers Ananya Bhat, widely recognised for her contributions to the KGF franchise, and Sooraj Santhosh, recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Playback Singer in 2016. With their distinctive voices and contributions to regional cinema and independent music, the artists will bring a vibrant musical experience to this year’s celebrations.
Adding to the festive experience, Forum Rewards will offer shoppers opportunities to participate in a rewards programme featuring gifts and prizes worth up to ₹4 crore. Shoppers spending ₹7,500 can stand a chance to win a 1-gram gold coin, while those spending ₹75,000 and above can avail assured home appliances, participate in daily lucky draws and stand a chance to win the bumper prize. The programme also includes assured gift vouchers for eligible shoppers, extending the festive celebrations beyond the shopping experience. All rewards are subject to the programme’s terms and conditions.
Through The Indian Toy Tale, Forum South BLR Fest 2026 brings regional Indian toy traditions into a high-footfall public setting, creating an opportunity to engage shoppers with the country’s cultural craftsmanship while adding a distinctive theme to Bengaluru’s festive calendar.
