Ranchi, Jharkhand: This Diwali, the Jharkhand Navodaya Morcha (JNM) turned celebration into service. Under the leadership of its young and dynamic Founder Karmveer Mahto, the team of JNM volunteers reached out to several remote villages, donating earthen diyas, sweets, and essential supplies to more than 250 underprivileged families, ensuring that every household could celebrate the festival of lights with dignity and joy.
Rather than hosting a grand urban celebration, JNM chose to visit rural communities where the festival often passes in silence due to financial struggles. The initiative was part of the party’s broader effort to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Jharkhand—especially those who have been overlooked by development.
The celebration witnessed the active participation of Rajesh Singh, Pawan Singh, Aman Sahu, and many other dedicated JNM members, who traveled door to door distributing diyas and sweets. The team helped families decorate their homes, lit diyas together, and shared moments of happiness with children and elders alike. Villagers expressed deep gratitude, many saying it was the first time in years they had felt the true spirit of Diwali.
Speaking on the occasion, Karmveer Mahto said,
“Our goal was never about just donating diyas—it was about restoring light in lives that too often remain in the shadows. Jharkhand Navodaya Morcha stands for people, for equality, and for progress that touches every corner of our land. Festivals remind us that the greatest light comes from compassion.”
The team also organized a small cultural gathering in the evening, where villagers sang traditional songs and shared sweets with the JNM volunteers. The event turned into a symbol of togetherness and reaffirmed the movement’s promise to build a Jharkhand where prosperity and happiness reach all.
