Mallobika Banerjii Requests Closure on Misinterpreted Vijay Deverakonda Remark

Bengali actress Mallobika Banerjii, celebrated for her dynamic roles in various projects, recently addressed a lingering misconception regarding her comments about Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda. The two collaborated on the music video Nee Venakale Nadichi a few years ago, and during an interview, Mallobika made a light-hearted remark about Vijay’s proficiency in Hindi. Unfortunately, her comment sparked mixed reactions from both the public and media.

For context, Vijay Deverakonda had once compared Hindi to Hebrew, which became a topic of discussion during his Bollywood debut in Liger. Mallobika referenced this in one of her interviews, leading to further speculation.

In her recent clarification, Mallobika expressed her concerns about how her words were misunderstood. “Though it has been a long time, I still want to clear my stance as people around me still misinterpret me. The way I said it wasn’t intentional and was mistaken both in words and delivery. I don’t mean to hurt anyone. As artists, we are surely open to work in all the fields we wish to.”

She emphasized that her previous comment was made in jest, not to undermine Vijay or expose him. “My remark was a joke and wasn’t meant to degrade Vijay or expose him in any way. I do respect him a lot as an artist and even as a friend, and the comment was simply playful, not meant for criticism. So I would request everyone to just put a full stop on this issue and focus on the better and good things happening around in life and even on the professional front.”

Both actors continue to excel in their respective careers, showcasing their talents across diverse platforms and languages. With this clarification, Mallobika hopes to end any lingering confusion and ensure her words are not taken out of context.

For those unfamiliar, Mallobika Banerjii began her Bollywood career with the Hindi music video “Dilbar,” sung by Shahid Mallya and released by Zee Music. She also featured in “Pretty Girl,” sung by Kanika Kapoor for T-Series, “Kill Karda” with Ganesh Acharya, and “Naino Ki Barish.” Additionally, she wrote and performed a rap song titled “Jee Lene Do.” Mallobika has also acted in films like Chorabali, Katmundu, and Mister Bhaduri, as well as Odia movies such as Mate Bohu Kari Nei Ja and Dele Dhara Katha Sare. With several music videos and films in the pipeline, official announcements are expected soon.
